The children went to sea one day
And caught a spotted whale,
They taught him how to do some tricks,
Then put him in a pail.
They brought the black and white whale home
And put him in the tub;
They washed his fins and head and tail,
Then gave his back a rub.
They put him in the swimming pool,
He jumped through hoops all day;
The children swam beside him,
They loved to watch him play.
But then they brought him back to sea,
They brought him in the pail.
He swam away quite happily,
That friendly spotted whale.
